 Our Australian Oil and Gas client has a number of oil and gas jobs including - Valves, Connectors and Piping Engineer


  • Represent the URF Group in relation to technical issues surrounding valves, connectors and piping in conjunction with other senior discipline engineers, at both internal and external meetings.
  • Assist the Structures & RSS Package Engineer as required.
  • Provide reporting function towards the Structures & RSS Package Engineer for all valves, connectors and piping aspects.
  • Become thoroughly conversant with project documentation, specifications and procedures.
  • Preparation of relevant project documentation.
  • Review and comment internal project documentation and external consultant / contractor project documentation.
  • Monitor all facets of valves, connectors and piping work to ensure that project schedule, budget and technical requirements have, as a minimum, been met or improved upon.
  • Bring to earliest attention of the Structures & RSS Package Engineer any issues related to valves, connectors and piping which present a significant threat to the URF Package and offer mitigating measures / work plan.
  • Responsible for valves, connectors and piping design and procurement and ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards and quality requirements and industry best practice principles are applied to project.
  • Lead / participate in Design Review, HAZID / ENVID, Constructability Review workshops etc.
  • Resolve valves, connectors and piping related interface issues and technical queries.
  • Provide technical leadership for all aspects of valves, connectors and piping design, manufacture, fabrication, installation and pre-commissioning activities.
  • Anticipate, identify and resolve detailed valves, connectors and piping technical issues in an efficient and cost effective manner.
  • Define, monitor and manage work tasks with external consultants / contractors as required.
  • Follow-up work progress from the EPCI Contractor, including procurement, manufacturing and testing activities, to ensure that the scope is completed on schedule.

  • You would be heavily involved in assisting the Principle Engineer in developing all appropriate standards concerning E&I on the current projects as well as reviewing the reliability and integrity of the company’s installed controls systems, ESD systems and other programmable systems.
  • You will have full autonomy in relation to amending and developing these systems as you see fit whilst documenting the changes in accordance to applicable standards.

 

  • You will be coming in at a senior level and therefore you will be expected to provide technical advice to the project teams in relation to changes and expansions made to the existing systems or the installation of new programmable
  • To keep abreast of the latest technology developments in programmable control systems and associated communications protocols.
