HSE Jobs - March 4 2010

We recently featured Health and Safety Manager Jobs and Contracts Engineer Jobs based in the Middle east with major Oil and Gas Contractors. Although some good quality candidates were located it was surprising how many applicants were aged 60 plus. The positions were permanent staff and the employer was unable to employ people over 55. The rapidly ageing population and a chronic shortage of suitably qualified oil and gas professionals is creating a a real skills crisis. With an increasing oil price and recovering global economies the oil and gas business has a very long way to go before it addresses the need to train another generation of engineers. Meanwhile for those with the right skills and experience the boom days are back again. Safety Manager Jobs,Safety Engineer Jobs,QHSE jobs ,Integrity Engineer Jobs in Aberdeen and the UAE are very difficult for HR departments to fill in 2010 and for the forseeable future

Social Enterprise - Feb 23 2010

HSEE is to become a social enterprise supporting people with disabilities. A new business model is rapidly emerging which has the dual aims of contributing to the social good as well as generating profitable income streams The board of HSEE believe that oil and gas firms will increasingly adopt the corporate responsibility aims of supporting the local community as well as creating sustainable employment for disadvantaged groups. In the future oil companies might ask their suppliers to demonstrate their support for the community good....as well as their financial track record. We at HSEE passionately support people with disabilities into meaningful work and through our Job Club network we encourage racial diversity in our industry. We congratulate Petrofac in Aberdeen for their recent support of a social enterprise that looks to save the jobs of many disabled workers at a local bed factory
