QA QC Welding Inspectors – Pipelines Brisbane

Job Description

 You are a passionate and dedicated Lead Quality Control Inspector with demonstrated success in providing effective, practical supervision and control on Quality Control Inspection teams for Pipeline projects. You thrive in a massive work environment that demands the best from its staff and products.

Working from the commercial head office in Brisbane and reporting directly to the Quality Control Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Supervising technical staff and subcontractor activities, providing regular reports to management.
• Assign and monitor Inspectors tasks to ensure quality coverage is adequate on the work
• To ensure correct material identification and traceability requirements are met
• Verify positioning of materials comply with construction drawings, sequence/priorities set
• Coordinate all field inspection, tests, NDE activities and provide release status.
• Ensuring application plans and procedures are followed effectively
• Promote quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the project
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards and legislation.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

• A Tertiary qualification or equivalent in a related field with a minimum of 10 years quality experience in the construction industry – Project related
• International Certification to carry out welding and coating inspections
• Demonstrated ability to deliver technical written reports and communicate clearly and concisely
• Demonstrated ability to deliver quality work with high levels of accuracy and minimum supervision
