Position

  • Fugro GEOS is the world’s foremost provider of commercial oceanographic and meteorological measurement, assessment and consulting services, with offices in the US (Houston), UK (Wallingford & Glasgow), Norway (Trondheim & Sandnes), Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), UAE (Abu Dhabi) and Singapore.
  • The Company is part of the multi-national Fugro Group that provides a complete range of integrated geotechnical, environmental, survey and positioning services world-wide.
  • This challenging role, based in the Singapore office, will encompass varied responsibilities, the key aspects of which are
  • The overall financial management of a variety of workshop system builds and offshore systems projects with the goal of meeting project deadlines and budgets while ensuring the highest quality customer service
  • Monitor project performance and identify contract variations.
  • Liaise with processing and reporting department on project report requirements.
  • Planning of project operations and coordination of staff resources, equipment and logistics to support projects located across the SE Asian region
  • Day-to-day management of projects ensuring that all contractual obligations are met
  • Establish project procedures, Project Safety Plan and budgets
  • Conduct project briefing including project specific HSE subjects.
  • Liaise with clients.
  • Liaise with processing and reporting department on project report requirements.
  • Instruct technical support staff on requirements for projects.
  • Providing remote support to on-site field staff
  • Occasional offshore travel will be required
  • Monitor and review project financial performance
  • Undertake contract monthly financial accruals
  • Clear career progression opportunities
  • Take an active role in all QA & HSE relating to projects and overhead work
  • Project Management as defined for the Project Manager
     

Job Requirements

  • Candidates must have a diploma or university degree in engineering, instrumentation, oceanography or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience working within the commercial offshore environment is required, of which 3+ years must be working within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • In addition, a minimum of 3 years project management experience is essential. Excellent communication skills are a must for success in this role.
  • The applicant must be medically fit, able to work in the offshore environment, flexible, stress resistant, has an accurate work practice and a hands-on mentality.
  • Be conversant with equipment / software in use and be a team player with good communication skills.
