Major oil and gas companies and classification societies are still finding it tough to resource Integrity Engineer and Verification jobs.
Their preference is nearly always to take on suitably qualified and experienced engineers for permanent staff jobs but they are often unable to fill these positions without the back up of highly paid contractors.
Leading classification societies pay £40K to £65K a year in the UK and around £400 to £600 a day for professional contractors.
Integrity jobs in Aberdeen and the North Sea are hard to fill and most employers are keen to offer lucrative salaries to attract engineers from overseas.
Not all employers are keen to go thru the pain of applying for work permits and oil and gas engineers from outside the EC who can obtain their own visas will always be in demand.
The biggest demand in the oil and gas industry also includes Safety Engineer Jobs,Project Manager Jobs,Pipeline Engineer Jobs,and many oil and gas jobs in safety ,QHSE,and inspection .
Welding Engineer and Corrosion engineer jobs have always outstripped the supply of suitably skilled engineers.
Oil and Gas engineer jobs continue to grow alongside the increasing price of oil and the general improvement in the economy.
